Course Description

This course is designed to provide project managers and inspectors an introduction to pressure testing pipelines and facilities. It will cover what is required by regulations, what will be required of themselves, and what they should expect from the testing contractor.  The course covers the planning of a pressure test all the way through to the records needed to be retained. Both 49 CFR 192 and 195 requirements are covered.  Practical guidance is provided in determining the acceptability of a pressure test.  Attendees will also be exposed to pressure testing safety considerations and additional precautions should the test medium not be liquid. The class will provide the confidence to plan and oversee the performance of pressure testing and ensure they will meet all regulatory requirements.
